Ghana Students Association of Research, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creative Arts Launches “Books Not Labour” Awareness Campaign
The Ghana Students Association of Research, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Creative Arts, through its Chairperson, H.E. Emily Jemima Nyarko, joins the international community in reaffirming its unwavering commitment to the protection of children’s rights on the occasion of the World Day Against Child Labour, observed annually on 12 June.
This global observance serves as a reminder of the urgent need to eliminate all forms of child labour and to ensure that every child is guaranteed access to quality education, safety, dignity, and equal opportunity.

The Association reaffirms its alignment with the United Nations Sustainable Development Agenda, particularly:
SDG 4: Quality Education
SDG 8.7: Eradication of forced labour, modern slavery, human trafficking, and the worst forms of child labour
In this regard, the Association emphasizes that child labour remains a major barrier to human capital development, educational attainment, and sustainable socio-economic progress.

Through the leadership of H.E. Emily Jemima Nyarko, the Association officially announces the commencement of its awareness initiative titled:

This campaign is designed to raise awareness, strengthen advocacy, and mobilize youth participation in the fight against child labour, while promoting education as the most powerful tool for empowerment and national development.
The campaign will engage students, educators, communities, and stakeholders through advocacy programmes, sensitization activities, and youth-driven outreach ahead of and beyond the 12 June observance.
